    Hi meshers,

    I am in Wallis mountains and wish to improve the network in this region.

    I own a LILYGO T-Deck (Wanted to start with something I can rely on before switching to the DIY world :))

    I might place a node in my vehicle and also some solar fixed nodes to make it works.

    At the moment I just flashed my LILYGO with meshtastic and configured it following the doc. I see nothing around me I guess it's a bad sign :)

    Will take it with me in the train tomorrow and see if down the mountain I get a better signal.

    Very good initiative and lovely design for this website thank you!

    Thank you.

    I would recommend to take a node and a powerbank and hike up a hill, i am sure you will see some nodes, maybe the NFS node from central Switzerland.
    That, would then be a good place to put up a solar node to get the connection redirected to your home town.

    Hi!

    Grunki from Zürich Enge. Just brought my first node online today – LILYGO T3-S3, fixed at the window, CLIENT_MUTE on MediumFast.

    I also have a PMR handheld and I’m curious about CB radio as a next step. My broader interest is off-grid and decentralized communication infrastructure – anything that works without big tech in the middle. That includes the Small Internet side of things (Gopher, Gemini), local AI infrastructure, and now LoRa/Meshtastic.

    Looking forward to learning and exchanging here.

    Hi bky and other,

    I recently discover Mesh web by random and I m very interested by the concept.
    So I will soon try to buy and set up a node to enlarge the web Mesh.
    I m not sure for Switzerland if I have better to get Meshastic or Meshcore. What must I do ?

    Hallo Zusammen,

    habe jetzt mit dem Elecrow ThinkNode M6 einen 2ten Meshtastic (24h Solar) in Luzern in Betrieb. Läuft aber immer noch kaum was. Sollte man sich noch einen MashCore besorgen?

    Hi guys ! I'm living in Geneva and I plan to add some meshtastics device powered by solar on my balconies as I'm pretty high on the town.
    Last time I tested my T-Deck I could connect to nodes as far as Neuchatel and Valais !
    On the other side, I had no contact with France because of the mountains I think.
    I'd be glad to know more about what we could do like emergency access to off-grid ressources (like an offline wikipedia).

    Und via MQTT auf mashmap.net sichtbar.

    Hi I just bought two ESP32 LoRa V3 modules and did flash to Meshtastic. I live in “Knonauer Amt”. With “Long Fast“ I can see some other clients. Did send out a “hello world” message on channel 0 and saw it on my second node. Can anyone see my node?
